How does Morpheus 8 work?
Morpheus8 combines radio frequency technology, needling, and fractional treatments to address a variety of skincare problems. Tiny needles penetrate the skin and heat the tissue to stimulate the production of collagen. What makes Morpheus8 different from other treatments is the depth the needles penetrate the skin. It is the only treatment that can mould fat under the skin to obtain optimal results. Contouring and refining the subdermal layers will enable a more detailed approach to sculpting the face naturally without surgery.
Am I a good canditate?
MORPHEUS 8 is for patients of all skin types and skin colors who are struggling with mild to advanced signs of aging, including lines, wrinkles, and laxity, sun damage or acne scarring and fat loss. Patients achieve best results maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
How many treatments will I need?
Three treatments over three months. Although the Morpheus 8 is a permanent solution and can take years off your face, we find that most of our patients like to do one maintenance treatment per year after the initial package of three have been completed.
Does the Morpheus 8 hurt?
Any discomfort is tolerable. To ensure optimal comfort, a topical numbing agent is applied for a minimum of one hour prior to the procedure. If you are extremely sensitive, we have additional options for your comfort.
What is the recovery?
Downtime is typically only a couple of hours of redness. Once the heat subsides, the redness will dissipate. For extremely fair skin, downtime can extend 24-48 hours. Depending on the tip used and area treated you may see a bit of pin-point bleeding from the needles which will resolve in a few minutes and/or surface scabbing which can last 3-4 days.
Patients should moisturize the treated area and avoid direct sun exposure. Applying a broad spectrum sunscreen is advised.
How long does it take to see the results?
Noticeable results can be seen within a few days. However, each Morpheus 8 treatment takes a full 90 days to see the full results. Photos will be taken on each treatment so that you can see your ongoing progression.
